How to get
"YES" from your customers

Pitch of S.O.S Sexuality

This is a team work of class TEN-7015 (Développement de systèmes d'enseignement et de formation)
Thanks to my brilliant teammates: Marie-Josée Leplage et Lisa-Marie Gauthier!

This pitch is for our M-learning program "S.O.S Sexuality" to show our program to customers- the school board. In this case, we need to show the main charaters of our project as well as the points which can make our customers say "yes".

The first challenge comes from the "double" audience. This pitch is introduced to the school leadership, but the end user is the child. Therefore, when designing, we should use the language familiar to school leaders to present our project content for children. Since the actual project has not officially started when pitching, it also forced us to start the final project idea.

Considering the final users of this program are the kids of 6th grade, we chose a cartoon way to make our presentation. Powtoon is the main tools in producing the pitch video. In the process, we also employed other tools like Screen-O-Mastic to edit our final video.

It seems like making a powerpoint with animations and ideas, but the timeline makes the video tell the story by itself. I'm proud of realising a video pedagogic. It was always my dream.

In addition to the mastery and exploration of technology. The challenge also comes from teamwork. For me, who is not my mother tongue in French, I tend to have more visual expressions, such as using less large paragraphs or using symbols or images to match the text. But the team members think it should be more concise, and there is enough text to explain the problem. For the final film, I have a modified version that took a lot of effort, but the first draft of other members’ tasks is not a big problem, and a slightly modified version will be more secure. This really makes me feel sad. I think as long as time permits, I can try to the greatest extent possible. At least we already have a good foundation, so see if it will be better, isn't it better? But I also realize that everyone in the team will have different ideas. It is difficult for members who wish to end the task early to accept sprint-like revision work.

I think next time, before working hard, I will try to list the revised items first, then discuss with the team, and arrange the work progress reasonably so that everyone can continue to improve in a relaxed environment.

No matter in the team or earning the praise from your customer, listening, communicating with open mind is crucial to win the "yes".
