Needs Analysis

This is a continued teamwork of class TEN-7001 (Systemic Approach and Needs Analysis), but update with the new technologies we get in class TEN-7006 (Design of Education and Training Systems).

Thanks to my brilliant teammates: Stéphanie Audras, Lisa-Marie Gauthier, Chibalama Kachungunu and Sabrine Souissi (Sabrine worked for the first period)!

Organization X (anonym) provides service to immigrants and enterprises in Quebec City. After brief communication we received their requirement of training design for their employers.

According to the information collected by document searching, survey, group interview and individual interview with their boss and employers, we made our analysis of customer's needs. Observation is throughout the whole process.

The analysis report was validated by the experts of this domain. Improves has been made in the situation description, the pedagogic objectives and summative evaluation, to ensure the presentation is more targeted.

In the whole process, teamwork is important. In the first process, we worked with customers. Usually at least two persons will work together when we visited customers, to ensure there was an observer.

The needs analysis, which contains lots of work, was well done by teamwork. Each of us worked our best in communication, survey, interview and data analysis.

As an international team, we sometimes lost our rhythm. However, with the mutual understanding, we finally finished our work excellently. Different culture backgrounds, later, even becomes a great benefit for our training design. I feel that an open, encouraging and honest environment is important for a good teamwork. Different cultures, different personalities and different talents can also bring different growth experiences.
